So, how do you navigate the choppy waters of perimenopause anxiety without losing your sanity? Here are a few tips before we look into guides, from someone who's been there, done that, and bought the "I'm trying to survive Perimenopause" t-shirt:
Laugh at Yourself – Trust me, there's nothing like a good laugh to take the edge off your anxiety, but don't be alarmed if the laugh also turns into tears its completely normal to feel like you're losing it. Talk About It – Sharing your struggles with friends and family, this one will be imperative. They'll more than likely be witnessing it first-hand anyway, so you may as well address the elephant in the room and give them the heads up.
Stay Active – Exercise is not just good for your body; it's a great stress-buster too. Whether it's yoga, dancing or walking, find an activity that brings you joy and helps you release those pent-up emotions.
Relaxation - Prioritising relaxing activities meditation, being in nature, napping, reading, listening to healing music - Crystal bowl healing is my favourite. These activities are especially important in the week prior to menstruation, to try and assist cortisol to remain low.
Seek Professional Help – If your anxiety becomes overwhelming or starts impacting your daily life, don't hesitate to seek help from a trusted health professional. Trustworthy healthcare can be a game-changer in managing perimenopause struggles.

Getting to the Crux of Peri-Anxiety
